#17 - I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship. Louisa May Alcott

STORMS TO TORNADOES

Storms roll across my landscape every day,
but they only become tornadoes

AVOIDING THE STORM

The clouds appear in the peaceful sky
and thunder explodes overhead.
It’s sometimes the way for you and I,
when words we speak should not be said.
Though nothing is wrong with honesty,
it’s a trait a relationship needs,
life is much calmer for you and for me
when ignoring these time-honored creeds.

WEATHERING NATURE

I have learned how to weather
life’s thunderous blows.
With a calm spirit and a cool head,
I guide my vessel through the churning waters
until I safely arrive back in port.
